What this page is
Where the big money sits: strike-wise OI walls, OI change, PCR, max pain (plus a fresh-OI-weighted "modified" max pain), trending OI — with a 3-minute intraday replay.
How to use it
- 1Set symbol + expiry. The main bars show call OI (calls) and put OI (puts) per strike; the OI-change bars show what was added/removed today.
- 2Drag the time slider or press play to replay the day in 3-minute steps and watch walls build or melt.
- 3Read the max pain + pain curve, the PCR chip and the Trending OI panel (ATM ± 6 strikes, EMA 10/20/30 toggles).
How to read it
- Big call-OI strike above spot = resistance (writers defend it); big put-OI strike below spot = support.
- PCR > 1.2 = heavy put writing (bullish lean, extremes turn contrarian); PCR < 0.7 = heavy call writing (bearish lean).
- Max pain = the strike where option buyers lose the most at expiry; price often gravitates there in the last hours — but it is a magnet, not a promise.
- Sample data replays a synthetic day; with Kite connected you replay the real recorded snapshots.
💡 Pro tip:Modified max pain weights fresh OI more than stale OI — when it drifts away from classic max pain intraday, writers are re-anchoring. That drift is the early signal.
